Shittyは、低遅延・高速起動・予測可能なリソース使用を実現したターミナルエミュレータです。LinuxではVulkan、macOSではMetalを使用して描画をGPUで行い、CPU上で端末状態を管理します。ベンチマークでは、100MBのデータを約118MiB/sで処理し、AlacrittyやKittyを上回る性能を示しました。VT52からVT5xx、xterm拡張、Unicodeグラフクラスタ、24ビットカラー、マウスプロトコル、OSC 52/8など幅広い機能をサポート。C++23で書かれ、WaylandとmacOSネイティブ環境で動作します。インストールは簡単で、NixフレークやHomebrewタップも用意されています。
