Engineer rebuilds the Apollo Guidance Computer with a Raspberry Pi and a 3D printer

Michael Newton, a Calgary avionics engineer, has led an open-source project called Recreate Apollo: a 1:1, 3D-printed DSKY display and keyboard running the Apollo 13 Command Module software on a Raspberry Pi via the Virtual AGC emulator. All CAD models, schematics, and a 100-page build guide are free on GitHub, and the emulation preserves the original's 1.024MHz timing, 15-bit words, and even the interrupts that saved Apollo 11.

In fact, it emulates the real computer so well that, to me, VirtualAGC is not an emulator. It's a real Apollo Guidance Computer that borrows your processor.
