Samsung TVs Scan Your Home via Bluetooth to Detect Dogs Barking and Babies Crying

Samsung TVs look for microphones in your house via Bluetooth and then spy events

A reverse-engineering dive into Samsung TV telemetry reveals the sets listen for nearby microphones over Bluetooth, classify the audio they pick up, and report event counters back to Samsung — including dog-barking and baby-crying tallies, sensor preferences, and camera streaming duration. The findings, surfaced by log4j and amplified by Freddy Vega, also suggest the TVs track what you watch on YouTube and other apps.
