US closely monitoring case of lab worker who possibly died of plague in Siberia

A 28-year-old lab worker at Siberia's anti-plague institute died after falling ill at work, and US Secretary of State Marco Rubio says Washington is monitoring the case closely. Russia's health watchdog calls it pneumonia of unknown origin, but quarantine measures have locked down hospitals in Irkutsk and over 60 institute staff remain isolated.
I don't think it's cause for alarm, but it is cause for focus and a cause just to keep an eye on it.
