Find the flattest route between any two points in SF

Flatten SF is a browser-based tool that computes the flattest walking or biking route between any two points in San Francisco. It uses 160,000 street segments, USGS 1-meter lidar elevation data, and the Overture/OpenStreetMap street graph. A slider lets users explore the trade-off between distance and climbing, from the shortest path to the flattest one worth walking, with stairways allowed on foot and excluded on a bike.
Sliding right never shortens the route and never adds climbing.
