mold 3.0.0, C++에서 Rust로 전면 재작성
Mold Linker Version 3.0.0 Release – Rewritten in Rust
고속 링커 mold가 3.0.0을 발표하며 C++에서 Rust로의 전면 재작성을 완료했다. 2.42.1의 마지막 C++ 버전 이후 첫 Rust 릴리스인 3.0은 동일한 명령줄 옵션과 아키텍처를 지원하며 링킹 성능도 유지한다. Rust 전환으로 손상된 입력 파일에 대한 메모리 안전성이 강화됐고, GNU ld와의 호환성 격차를 줄여 리눅스 배포판 기본 링커 채택을 목표로 한다.
The goal of mold 3.x is to close the remaining compatibility gaps with GNU ld, particularly in linker script support, and to pave the way for mold to be adopted as the default linker in Linux distributions.
