Tech companies track everything about me, yet their ads are hilariously wrong
I wish tech companies knew more about me

A Helsinki-based technologist pushes back on the surveillance narrative: despite constant tracking, recommendation engines serve ads for products already bought, miss years of skipped vocal tracks, and reset language settings. From mattress ads to asphalt-cleaning tractors, the personalization feels less like mind-reading and more like incompetence. If the data is already collected, why not actually use it?
I have no doubts that a lot of information is being tracked, stored, and sold. Since that's already done, could you guys at least use some of it?
