OpenAI's Images 2.6 now turns your stills into looping GIFs

OpenAI rolled out Images 2.6 across ChatGPT, Codex, and the API, generating images 50% faster and adding GIF animation so a mascot, character, or product shot can become a seamless loop. The API gains two models, Flare and Sunburst, with Flare producing images in as little as six seconds at low quality. Developers also get image markup, SVG exports, and a complexity parameter. Users already create 4 billion images a week.
