Karl Bushby Walked 31,000 Miles Home and Is Nearly There
After 28 years walking across the globe, he's almost home

In 1998, British paratrooper Karl Bushby flew to Punta Arenas, Chile, and started walking home to England. Nearly 28 years and 31,000 miles later, he has crossed four continents, including a perilous winter crossing of the frozen Bering Strait, and swum the English Channel. He plans to reach his mother's house in Hull next week, at age 57.
That was when I realized that that's the kind of thing I've been looking for. Now we had the ultimate journey.
