A Microwave Builds Solar Panels, but YouTube Won't Let You Watch
Making Solar Panels with a Microwave [video]
A Hacker News submission titled "Making Solar Panels with a Microwave" points to a YouTube video that reportedly shows the process. The linked page could not be fetched, and the discussion thread holds just one comment: a user hitting YouTube's "Sign in to confirm you're not a bot" wall and refusing to proceed. The actual method behind the microwave-built panels remains unseen.
"Sign in to confirm you're not a bot." Uhm, no. Sorry.

After refreshing several times to avoid logging in, the gGods decided to let the video play. I never knew that this class of thing existed: https://www.amazon.com/Microwave-Professional-Fusing-Melting...
Anyway, very cool home project.

Very impressive, I really liked how low tech it all was (except for buying a high purity Si wafer but I can see why growing a crystal that size wasn't on the agenda). Nice to mention Jeri, that first 'cooking with Jeri' episode probably ranks as the all-time-high for makers in my book.
