microG Replaces Google Play Services on Android Without Google
MicroG: Free-libre re-implementation of Google's proprietary Android user space
microG GmsCore is a free, open-source reimplementation of Google Play Services that lets apps calling proprietary Google APIs run on AOSP-based ROMs like LineageOS. It offers opt-in Google services, on- and offline location, and low battery, memory, and CPU use, with no bloatware. It requires ROM support for signature spoofing so apps believe official Play Services is present, and a Play Store replacement like microG Companion completes the setup.
It is a powerful tool to reclaim your privacy and freedom while enjoying Android core features.
