Oxide's omdb debugger proves DNS is working, not just '0 problems'

When DNS breaks, it's always DNS—but how do you know? Oxide's control plane propagates DNS config from CockroachDB through Nexus to separate internal and external DNS servers. To debug this, they built omdb, a debugger that reports the exact generation propagated, which servers received it, and when each finished. The result is software that can exonerate itself with affirmative evidence, not vague '0 problems' messages.

It’s great when software can tell you what’s wrong with it. It’s even better when it can convincingly tell you that it’s working.
