DeepSeek has opened its in-house Search and Fetch APIs to agents and RAG apps: raw JSON endpoints that return ranked results with rerank scores, summaries, and optional page content, plus Markdown extraction for single URLs. Billing is per successful request rather than per token, at $0.75 per 1,000 calls, with failed requests, empty results, and timeouts free. Each API is capped at 5 QPS per account.
