Archive of Our Own hits 18.75 million works, all tagged by human hands

The Organization for Transformative Works' fanfiction archive now hosts over 18.75 million works across 83,200 fandoms, built by and for fans. Its October membership drive raised $314,539.76 from 7,623 donors, surpassing its 5,000-member goal. Every tag on the site is reviewed by a person, not an algorithm—a quiet rebuke to automated content moderation.
