Casio F-91W watch becomes an interactive statechart demo
Casio F-91W using Statecharts

This project builds an interactive model of the iconic Casio F-91W watch using statecharts, the visual formalism introduced by David Harel in 1987. Harel's original paper used a digital wristwatch as an example, but that specific watch is now rare. The demo uses XState and the Stately visualizer to show states and transitions side by side, building on Alexis Philip's digitized graphics. It includes limitations like no alarm triggering and differences in date/time setting.
Statecharts are an extension of state machines, introduced by David Harel in 1987. In the paper, Harel used a digital wristwatch as an example model.
