A font recreated from photographs of classic Commodore 64 keycaps

This GitHub project by Levente Szabadkai reconstructs the lettering on classic Commodore 64 keycaps from photographs, producing a font with cleaned-up shapes and consistent proportions. It includes uppercase letters, numbers, punctuation, arrows, the pound sign, selected accented letters, function-key labels f1–f12, and all 63 PETSCII graphic front legends. Available as TTF, OTF, and webfont, with editable outlines and a specimen. Lowercase input displays as uppercase, recreating printed key legends rather than the screen bitmap font.

This reminds me of this beautifully written article about the font Gorton.

The old versions of VIC-20 used a font called Microgramma.

    This saddens me, frankly.

If creatively expanded to more characters, this would make a pretty nice coding font.

Oh gosh, this is really rather nice.
