ASOS app users receive push notifications apparently sent by hackers

Dozens of ASOS customers in the UK received unsolicited push notifications from the retailer's app, apparently sent by hackers. The message, addressed to ASOS's data protection officer and IT team, claims the attackers have "fully compromised the Snowflake instance" and threatens to leak data unless the company engages. ASOS has not commented. It is unclear whether ASOS uses Snowflake, which has been linked to recent breaches at Ticketmaster and Santander.
