Improving and Stabilizing the Racoon2 IKE Daemon in NetBSD
NetBSD의 racoon2 IKE 데몬을 현대화한 GSoC 2026 프로젝트가 마무리됐다. NAT traversal과 IPv6 지원을 RFC에 맞게 고치고, NAT-T 환경에서 주소 대체를 구현해 별도 selector 없이도 Windows·iOS·Android 기본 VPN 클라이언트와 연동되도록 했다. 그동안 테스트가 전무했던 코드에 자체 단위 테스트 프레임워크까지 추가해 회귀를 막는다.
The daemon can sit behind a NAT device and serve modern VPN clients without any workaround selectors in its configuration, IPv6 works out of the box, and the changes are protected by an automated test suite.
