Matt Mullenweg가 Ryan Phelan과 Stewart Brand가 소유한 하우스보트 Mirene을 구매하겠다고 제안했다. 그는 John Mayer의 EarthRoamer를 5년간 소유하고 Dustin Yellin에게 예술 작품과 교환해 넘긴 경험을 언급하며, 다시 바다로 나가고 싶은 마음을 드러냈다. SF Standard에 따르면 Mirene의 주방 테이블은 Otis Redding이 "(Sittin' on) The Dock of the Bay"를 쓴 곳일 수 있다. 제안이 수락되면 Ryan과 Stewart에게 많은 것을 배울 것이라고 밝혔다.
