미국인들의 반대에도 AI 데이터센터 건설은 예상보다 더디다
Americans are rallying against data centers. Surprisingly few are getting built
CNN 보도에 따르면, 미국인들의 AI 데이터센터에 대한 반대가 거세지고 있지만, 실제 건설은 계획 대비 크게 지연되고 있다. Goldman Sachs는 2028년까지 가동 예정인 AI 컴퓨팅 용량의 절반만이 제때 완공될 것으로 전망했다. 자재, 전력, 인력 부족과 허가 문제 등이 주요 장애물이며, 발표된 3,969개 신규 데이터센터 중 현재 공사 중인 것은 802개에 불과하다. 전문가들은 계획된 용량의 3분의 2가 실현 불가능할 것이라고 본다.
