Perplexity launches AI agents for work
Perplexity is rolling out teammates, personal agents built on Perplexity Computer that take ownership of long-running projects rather than answering one-off queries. They plan, monitor, and follow through on work across marketing, sales, support, and operations, remembering goals, history, and feedback between runs. Each runs in an isolated environment with encrypted credentials, can be added to Slack or handed tasks by other teammates, and is initially available to Max subscribers on the web, with iOS coming soon.
Teammates monitor ongoing work and follow up as things change. They investigate and act without waiting for a fresh query.
