MoofTCP rewrites MacTCP from scratch for 4 MB Mac Classics
MoofTCP – A modern replacement for MacTCP on 68k Macs
A drop-in replacement for Apple's MacTCP on 68k Macs running System 6, MoofTCP swaps the aging stack for a fresh TCP/IP implementation in portable C with its own control panel, installer, and DHCP client. Built for a 4 MB Mac Classic, it targets reliability first, then low latency, then throughput, while using no more resident memory than MacTCP. Existing MacTCP programs run unchanged; a Lite build saves about 5 KB.
It was built for a Mac Classic with 4 MB of RAM, so every byte counts.

As someone that also has a fondness for the old Macs, I absolutely love seeing projects like this. I love seeing an active, vibrant classic Mac community and new software for ancient machines. This is great!

I built Flynn (well Claude did) and that's awesome you tested MoofTCP with it.
Coincidentally a couple of weeks ago I got annoyed my 512Ke couldn't go online and had Claude build talkip[1] which was fun and works surprisingly well.
