Servo lands 527 commits in one month, and Candy Crush now runs in it
September in Servo: <progress>, rounded rectangles, and more
Servo 0.7.0 packs all of September's work: 527 commits adding the <progress> element, the :checked pseudoclass, user-select, CSS typed arithmetic, and roundRect() on canvas. The devtools console now evaluates JS eagerly, accessibility reports geometry bounds for inline elements, and WebGL2 conformance keeps improving. Real-world compatibility made a leap too — the egui.rs demo and a Candy Crush clone both run, while recurring donations reached $8,144 a month.
We also fixed a very ironic panic triggered by the about:crash page that loads when a normal page triggers a panic.
