Mocktastic: A DIY Meshtastic Node Built on Arduino
Mocktastic: A Meshtastic Node on Arduino
Mocktastic is an educational, experimental Meshtastic-compatible LoRa client for ESP32 boards, written in C++ for ArduinoIDE. It demonstrates how to build and decode Meshtastic packets, with two compile-time modes: DECODER for an interactive serial shell to send and receive messages, and SENSOR for a DHT22 temperature/humidity sensor that responds to /dht commands. Targeting the LilyGO T3 LoRa32 V1.6.1, it includes host-side tests and is not a fork of the official firmware.
This code is a learning and prototyping project. It has limited field testing, does not provide the reliability or power efficiency of the official Meshtastic firmware, and is not recommended for safety-critical or production use.
