Intel loses half its value in two months as a $3.7 trillion chip rout spreads
Intel stock collapse worsens as $3.5T chip rout spreads
Intel slid another 9% on Monday after its worst trading day since 1974, leaving the chipmaker worth less than half what it was at the end of September. The pain is spreading: roughly seven in ten S&P 500 stocks rose, yet nearly every chip stock fell, wiping out more than $400 billion in market value in a single session. Memory names Micron, Sandisk, Seagate and Western Digital dropped 6% to 8%, and Marvell fell harder still.
Wall Street mostly swept up last week's tech wreckage Monday. Chip stocks kept tracking mud back through the house.

Huh, I'm used to "stock collapses" headlines being a 2% daily fluctuation. Actually down 50% over the past month. But then again, up 50% over the past year. Sure is great when stocks of companies that are foundationally important to the world economy are being traded like meme stocks.

Intel, like Boeing cannot fail. If you believe they can, you better start searching for a bunker.
Advanced chip manufacturing is so incredibly hard. The finance bozos are clueless, again.

I really want to see how all the people freaking out at a 1.5% market "rout" will react when an actual correction happens.

Temporary IMHO. This is a particularly volatile time with earnings and midterms colliding.

The A.I. Bubble has finally burst. That's all folks!!
Billions of $ in GPUs are flooding the market and hopefully DRAM will soon become cheap again and we can get on with our lives.

The genesis of this is when Apple moved from Intel to their own chips.

Intel is a cursed company

The big question I have, why isn't Nvidia's stock falling quickly ? Nvidia's GPUs are the most in demand chip for AI. Seems Nvidia stock is also falling, but not as much. I would think it would fall almost as quickly as Intel.
I wonder if something else is happening to Intel
