bootgpt - A language model that lives in a boot sector

bootgpt is a neural network that boots your PC from a 512-byte master boot record. The MBR loads an 11.5 KB int8 model from the next 23 sectors and runs it in 16-bit real mode on a 386, with no OS or C runtime. The machine wakes up and hallucinates a Linux boot log, complete with timestamps, PCI bars, and ACPI events for hardware that never existed. With 8 characters of context and one hidden layer, the output is roughly realistic. Build it with nasm, qemu, and numpy, then dd the disk image to a USB stick and boot any BIOS box. It only reads its own sectors.

The machine wakes up and dreams a Linux boot log: timestamps, PCI bars, ACPI events for hardware that never existed.
