LYNX SHARE opens FL Studio projects without FL Studio
I'm building LYNX, an open-source DAW inspired by FL Studio, free,cross-platform
LYNX SHARE is a free, open-source DAW built in C++20 and JUCE 8 that mimics FL Studio's workflow — Channel Rack, Piano Roll, Playlist, Mixer — and imports .flp files directly, converting channels, patterns, automation, and 60+ native plugins, most bit-exact. It runs on Windows, macOS, and Linux, renders a 125-track project at over 10× real time, and uses 2.5–7× less RAM than FL Studio 2026. Currently in alpha under AGPL-3.0.
FL Studio's behaviour was studied through behavioural reverse engineering and documented; not a single line of Image-Line code was copied.
