Alleged Chinese spy had 'close relationship' with Nvidia boss Jensen Huang
A New York Times report says US surveillance identified Alice Huang, a Chinese citizen and top executive at Nvidia cloud partner Megaspeed, as an alleged intelligence asset who cultivated a close relationship with CEO Jensen Huang. Trump was briefed about a year ago but declined to act, wary of disrupting chip sales and trade ties with China. Nvidia says the interactions were ordinary customer meetings and that Huang was never warned.
Some senior Trump administration officials now doubt that the Nvidia boss "could have remained unaware" of her intelligence-gathering role for Beijing.
