A developer spent a year building a cycle-exact Amiga emulator in Java

AmiJa emulates OCS, ECS and AGA chipsets across 68000, 68010 and 68020 processors, with an automatic mode that assembles the right machine for whatever you load. It handles ADF and IPF floppies, HDF hard disks, WHDLoad auto-run, save states, OpenGL rendering with RetroArch CRT shaders, and even network remote play. The author, a 25-year Java veteran, says it is not vibe coded.
