One developer and a fleet of AI agents bring F-Zero X to the 3DS at a native 60 fps
F-Zero X on Nintendo 3DS
A post-mortem of G-Diffuser, the F-Zero X decompilation ported to the Nintendo 3DS. A 24-day sprint got it running at 60 fps in stereoscopic 3D on a New 3DS; a 43-day second phase added Old 3DS support, a cache-tuned native renderer, and the 64DD Expansion Kit. One person directed throughout, with a long-lived Claude session orchestrating 147 subagents in the first phase alone. The first phase cost about $4,974 in API tokens.
We should go for a real 60! I still believe it has to be possible.
