Dolly Parton's Imagination Library has gifted 343 million free books to children

Launched in 1995 for kids in her East Tennessee home county, Dolly Parton's Imagination Library now mails a free, age-appropriate book every month to children from birth to age five across the United States, Canada, the United Kingdom, Australia, and the Republic of Ireland. Inspired by her father's inability to read and write, the program has registered over 3.1 million children and gifted more than 343 million books, funded jointly by Parton and local community partners.
The seeds of these dreams are often found in books and the seeds you help plant in your community can grow across the world.
