ReVault - Secure-by-default encrypted archive format
Show HN: ReVault – new secure archive format
ReVault introduces the lockbox, a new archive format that is encrypted, signed, and compressed by default, with each layer optionally disabled. Built in Rust with bindings for C/C++, Java, Dart, Python, Ruby, JS/TypeScript, Go, C#, Kotlin, Lua, PHP, and Swift, it supports Linux, macOS, Windows, x64, arm64, and Wasm. Lockboxes store files, directories, symlinks, variables, and forms, and integrate with your platform's secure store so you don't re-enter passphrases. Features include hybrid post-quantum encryption, Zstd compression, fast single-file extraction via a table of contents, transactional updates with rollback, and page-based corruption recovery. An open-source keyserver simplifies secure sharing, and the CLI offers shortcuts like mirroring directories and default sessions.
A lockbox is encrypted, signed and compressed by default. Each can be disabled selectively.

Nice to see some Dart around here, even if it migrated to Rust eventually (as I am also wont to do). Just posting the github repo link for those that are lazy like me and want to go directly to the source: https://github.com/onepub-dev/reVault

Isn't that similar to a Veracrypt volume as a file?

What does "Hybrid post-quantum encryption" mean?
