DreamHost resets customer passwords after an active security incident

Active incident at Dreamhost forcing password reset

DreamHost is investigating an incident that knocked out its File Manager and Webmail interfaces and disrupted email and FTP/SFTP access. As a precaution, the host is resetting passwords for affected email and FTP/SFTP users, warning that changes made before the reset completes will be overwritten. Account owners can set new passwords directly in the control panel; the company stresses it will never email customers asking for a password.

If you receive a password reset email you did not request, please ignore it.
