Developer builds a calmer home screen for his Samsung The Frame, then hands out the code

CleanFrame: A quieter home screen for Samsung The Frame

CleanFrame replaces the Samsung The Frame's busy Tizen interface with a stripped-down screen: your apps, a photograph, and a 12-hour clock, navigated entirely by the TV remote. It offers List or Dock layouts, fifteen wallpapers, and locally saved preferences, with glass and blur pre-rendered so the TV only animates transforms and opacity. The author built it for his own LS03D and warns the setup scripts are tuned to his hardware, so expect to fork and adapt.

Most of the work has gone into making it work well on my TV. Very little has gone into making it portable.
