OpenBSD 8.0 brings Linux 6.18 graphics drivers and Intel Arc support
OpenBSD 8.0 release will have inteldrm/radeondrm/amdgpu drivers from Linux 6.18
OpenBSD 8.0 pulls its inteldrm, radeondrm, and amdgpu drivers up to Linux 6.18.y, adding support for Intel Arc A-Series cards. Jonathan Gray has kept the DRM stack current since 7.9, and amd64 now maps 512G of kernel virtual addresses, enough for more than 4G of VRAM. The release also moves sparc64 to Clang by default, supports up to 64 VCPUs per vmm guest, and adds a Qualcomm WiFi driver.
This makes OpenBSD the only operating system to support sparc64 with a modern toolchain.
