A driver brings seamless mouse integration to Windows NT 3.x in QEMU and VMware

VMMouse for NT 3.x: QEMU/VMware mouse integration driver

Robert Hargreaves built an open-source VMMouse driver that gives Windows NT 3.x smooth, absolute mouse tracking inside QEMU and VMware virtual machines, ending the awkward capture-and-release dance. Written mostly in C, the project ships as a bootable ISO with simple INSTALL.BAT and UNINSTALL.BAT scripts, builds via Docker, and is MIT licensed. It's only confirmed working on NT 3.51 SP5 on Intel.

Why is this needed? As far as I recall, mouse works just fine in VMWare in all 3.x NT versions.

There is a Cambrian explosion of such drivers lately, IMO one of the better LLM applications.
