The Electronic Disturbance Theater Takes Civil Disobedience Online
The Electronic Disturbance Theater and Electronic Civil Disobedience
A small group of cyber activists and artists called the Electronic Disturbance Theater developed Electronic Civil Disobedience (ECD) and a tool called Flood Net to stage virtual sit-ins. They targeted Mexican and U.S. government websites to support the Zapatistas, drawing thousands of participants and even provoking a countermeasure from the Mexican government. The group now aims to fade into a broader swarm of decentralized electronic resistance.
Unlike the participant in a traditional civil disobedience action, an ECD actor can participate in virtual blockades and sit-ins from home, from work, from the university, or from other points of access to the Net.

"The Electronic Disturbance Theater (EDT) is a small group of ..." PEOPLE WHO WRITE IN GIANT FRICKING WALLS OF TEXT.
Seriously, I took one look at the EDT site, got as far as that quote, and thought that no normal/sane human being would want to read that mess ... so I didn't either.
I guess it explains the lack of other comments. EDT people, if you have something to tell the world, maybe consider writing it for an audience of someone besides yourself (and even then ... do you people seriously like writing like this ... really?)
