Teal brings static typing to Lua without sacrificing its minimalism
Teal – A statically-typed dialect of Lua
Teal is a statically-typed dialect of Lua that adds type annotations, arrays, maps, records, interfaces, union types, and generics. It aims to fill a niche similar to TypeScript in the JavaScript world, but stays true to Lua's spirit of minimalism, portability, and embeddability. The compiler, tl, turns .tl source into .lua files, and the project is written in Teal itself.
It aims to fill a niche similar to that of TypeScript in the JavaScript world, but adhering to Lua's spirit of minimalism, portability and embeddability.
