Current Affairs has adopted one of publishing's strictest anti-AI policies, barring all AI-generated text and illustrations from its magazine. The unionized, nonprofit outlet argues that for-profit media's rush to replace writers and artists with AI is driven by greed, not quality, and calls on readers to support human-made publications.
We are not going to feed you slop. And we think you should not give money to any publication that does feed you slop, because they’re both treating their audience with contempt, and avoiding paying workers so that their owners can get richer.
