Bulgaria Starlink Fire: Two German Passport Holders Detained as Sabotage Fears Grow

Fire at Starlink site in Bulgaria after suspected sabotage in Poland

Bulgarian Prime Minister Rumen Radev confirmed a fire at a Starlink facility near Sofia on October 9, where 11 of 17 antennas were deliberately set ablaze. Two men, aged 20 and 21, holding German passports, were detained Monday. Investigators are probing links to a larger sabotage network and to two men arrested in Germany over a similar attack on a Starlink site in Poland. Bulgaria's security chief called it sabotage.

Such acts of sabotage cannot be ruled out in the future either.
