Show HN: BraiNOTES, handwritten notes on your lecture PDFs in a browser tab

BraiNOTES is an open-source app that brings handwritten note-taking and whiteboarding directly into your browser tab, no account or server required. Designed for lectures, it lets you write on or alongside PDF slides using a variety of pens with pressure sensitivity, snip diagrams, and organize notebooks on different paper styles. Everything stays local in your browser, works offline, and saves automatically. Export to PDF with vector ink or share .brainotes files. Built with Svelte 5, perfect-freehand, and pdf.js, it's a privacy-first alternative to OneNote or GoodNotes. Try it now at notes.swimmingbrain.dev.
