Nagare - Unified Calendar and To-Do App with Agent Integration

Nagare is a to-do app for iPhone and Mac that treats calendar events and tasks as equal commitments, letting you interleave them in a single ordered list. Unlike traditional apps where events and tasks are separate, Nagare combines them with optional times, so you can plan your day naturally without rigid scheduling. The app syncs via iCloud and exposes your plans to AI agents through MCP, enabling proactive support like suggesting social activities or reminding you of unfinished workouts. With a minimalist, paper-like interface, Nagare helps you focus on what matters most.

In Nagare, both are represented by a single kind of item, with an optional time. You can put studying before the dentist appointment in one ordered list, leaving the study item untimed.

Nice app, clear presentation. Congrats on the launch.

However, I’m quite surprised this to appear on the top page of HN. I’ll be upfront that I’m asking this with a bit of envy, but:

What is special about this app compared to the hundreds of to-do apps being released every day?

    > copying over commitments I’d already recorded was labor-intensive, and assigning a time to every item made the plan feel rigid.

Sometimes the friction is the point. It forces you to think about what is actually a priority and what is cruft.

That said, this is a cute idea. If removing the friction helps you make a plan and stick to it roll with it.

Hey Jarvis, move my 2pm to 10am. Proceed to wait 10s for extremely compute hungry system to do something that you could have done almost instantly by understanding how to use your device and or having any desire to move your fingers. Next.
