Eye of Sauron: Long-Range Hidden Spy Camera Detection
ESauron is the first proof-of-concept system that detects wireless, wired, and offline spy cameras by exploiting electromagnetic radiation from their inbuilt memory during video encoding. By intentionally triggering scene changes, it senses the resulting EMR surges. Tests with 50 camera products achieved 100% detection after just 4 stimuli, with a range exceeding 20 meters even through blockages, and accurate localization.
Experiments with 50 camera products show that ESauron can detect all spy cameras with an accuracy of 100% after only 4 stimuli, the detection range can exceed 20 meters even in the presence of blockages, and all spy cameras can be accurately located.
