Two ARM64-specific compiler optimization bugs, in GCC 15/16 and Rust, hit curl

curl maintainer Daniel Stenberg reports that two ARM64-specific compiler optimization bugs, in GCC 15/16 and Rust, have struck the project. The discovery is a rare case of the mythical compiler bug, since such faults usually turn out to be the programmer's own mistake. One commenter notes the issue still reproduces on the latest OpenSSL revisions and hints at a different, possibly ASM-related cause, while clang builds remain unaffected.
Every programmer knows they are out there. But every time, the fault turns out to have been their own mistake! This will keep our hopes alive!
