Oracle's Wisconsin AI datacenter may miss its 2027 deadline as power approval stalls
Power approval set to delay Oracle's Wisconsin AI datacenter

Oracle's Project Lighthouse in Port Washington, Wisconsin, could slip past its planned 2027 customer delivery because the transmission line needed to power it is still awaiting approval from the Public Service Commission of Wisconsin. Aterio's base case puts partial power in December 2027 and full supply in October 2028, and even that leaves little time for testing and commissioning. Oracle, which reportedly sent a force majeure notice on its New Mexico campus, says the project remains on schedule.
The problem is power. The campus cannot run until ATC connects it to the grid, and ATC cannot start building until the PSC approves its application.
