Bluesky's PLC directory now has an independent Swiss association

First Steps of the PLC Organization – Independent Public Ledger of Credentials

The Public Ledger of Credentials Organization is now a registered Swiss association, taking the first administrative steps to independently run the PLC directory that manages AT Protocol account updates. Its initial board includes security and cryptography experts from Let's Encrypt, Google, Bluesky, W3C, and ICANN. Funded by a bootstrap payment from Bluesky Social PBC, the organization will next define policies and prepare to take over directory operations.
