I built a 30TB home server from spare parts and told the cloud to get lost

Fed up with Google's storage quotas and privacy erosion, I turned an old Zotac mini-PC into a 30TB NAS. I 3D-printed a six-bay extension, added a touchscreen, and ditched TrueNAS for Kubuntu with ZFS. Now my family's photos, files, and services live on hardware I own—no subscriptions, no training sets.

I do not want to rent space for my own pictures for the rest of my life, and I certainly do not want Google looking at them either.
