Turdle.fun Asks Players to Identify Animal Droppings, and the Poop Data Is Already Under Fire

Who Dung It? (Turdle.fun)

A Hacker News thread digs into Turdle.fun, a quiz site where you guess which animal left a given dropping. One commenter strikes out after guessing wolf and cougar, only to learn the answer was a sheep, and points out the pictured specimen is a single turd rather than the round pellets sheep actually leave. The site's creator, patent_man, thanks him, swaps in a more typical photo, and rechecks the animal size ordering.

I can't believe I'm complaining about inaccurate poop data on a silly quiz site, but here we are.

The data quality for this game is very poor. (One might say even say it's shitty.)

I guessed wolf, game says it's bigger. I guessed cougar, game says its bigger again. I eventually struck out, turns out the animal was a sheep. I'm pretty sure wolves and cougars are bigger than sheep.

Worse yet, that's not sheep dung! Sheep dung is lots of individual round pellets, this was a single turd.

Edit: here's the Wikimedia link for the curious:

I'm still suspicious, this is very unusual for a sheep.
