Two years after releasing LogiCola 3, a web-based logic drill program, its developer has reverse-engineered the 2008 original to rebuild its design language. The new version restores mastery learning through infinite translation drills, adds offline support, and replaces the 'soul-sucking' enterprise look with a playful, pixelated interface. Colors are computed from the original's algorithms, while new palettes are chosen based on a stimulation model. The redesign also draws from fashion houses like Chanel for brand evolution, and aims to honor the legacy of the original author, Professor Gensler.
The soul sucking feeling it produces comes from the modern look’s motivations, which is not the author’s fault alone, but instead from the ‘market and sell everything’ era we current live within.
