Omacom Foundation Launches with $8M to Make the Malleable Computer a Reality
Omarchy Quattro's creator is incorporating the Omacom Foundation, a nonprofit backed by $8 million from eight founding patrons including Shopify's Tobi Lütke, Stripe's Patrick Collison, and Dell's Michael Dell. The foundation will hold trademarks, fund infrastructure, and support open-source projects, aiming to accelerate the vision of a malleable computer and finally make Linux on the desktop a reality.
It now feels like a moral obligation to make this future more broadly available and fundamentally change how people relate to their computers for the first time in what seems like forever.
